5 Simple Steps to Master Your Self-Doubt & Fear

I'm letting you in on a very important secret today! I'm just going to come right out and say it.

Your success isn't dependent on exhausting efforts or moving mountains.

But rather, the compound effect of consistent strategic action!

You see, fear of the unknown is real and can be debilitating. It can cause you to not to want to get out of bed in the morning.

Ultimately causing you to never fulfill your dreams and pursue your passions.

In my experience, there's no BETTER way to ensure you are pushing past your fear, to ensure consistent growth and game changing breakthroughs than to design a simple success ritual that stomps out fear like a pesky, little bug.

This is nothing too crazy or complicated. Just a simple routine that you can EASILY commit to.

So, before you do anything else today, take the next few minutes to carve out your personal winning routine.

The 5 Steps to Overcoming Your Fear and Master Your Success

  1. Your "Happy Place" - Where will you physically be when you plan to rock your future goals? If you work from home, which room will you be in? Or if you're in a warmer climate, will you be lounging poolside? At the beach? What about a local coffee shop? Your favorite restaurant? Lock it down now and make your best effort to keep it clean and comfortable ... a place that you can't wait to return to.

  2. Your "Power Posse" - Find three to five people you admire. Write their names down along with the qualities you admire most about them. Mine are Oprah because she's strong and confident, Malala Yousafzai because she's fearless, Beyonce because she's fierce, Sheryl Sandberg because she is smart and courageous, Diana, Princess of Whales because she's charming and caring, and Madonna because she's innovative and boundary-pushing. Ok, I have six but I just could not take any one of them off the list because without them all I would be missing a piece of who I want to be. Post your list somewhere you will see it and read it aloud every day. Identify traits you admire and speak in first person as if you have already arrived with them.

  3. Your "Why" - Your vision is only actionable if you say it out loud. If you keep it to yourself, it will remain a figment of your imagination. Take a moment and scribble down WHY you've chosen to embark on your specific goals. Make your statement, simple and clear, actionable, focused on the effect you'll have on others, and expressed in affirmative language that resonates with you. Write down your "why" right now, and read it out loud every day before you begin your day. By frequently re-connecting back to your unique reason why, you'll find that the fear, doubt and resistance loses it's grip over you, allowing you to create from a much freer, more vitalized place.

  4. Your "Internal Voice" - Flip your Fear. Flip your internal script. Change the message you're telling yourself when you think you're not good enough or you'll never be able to reach your goals. You see, your brain cannot process two completely opposing thoughts at the same time. So if you're thinking you are not good enough, you will not have room in your head to think you are. What to do... The very second you catch yourself in negative or self-sabotaging thoughts immediately stop and think of yourself a successful. Make this image so vivid in your mind and do not focus on anything else. Go back to your "I am" list you created in step 2 and say it aloud several times until your negative thoughts disappear.

  5. Your ambitions - Bring your ambitions to life. Make sure you have a journal or day planner and write down your top five to ten ambitions. For example, if you want to get a professional speaking engagement with Oprah, write down, "I speak on Oprah's stage" every day. Continue to write down the same five to ten ambitions every day over and over. This is a very powerful tool for your subconscious to grab hold of and set you up to achieve the things you are writing down.
